Bryan P.
Couch practices primarily in the
areas of business litigation,
product liability and tort law.
During his career at Connell Foley,
Mr. Couch has handled a wide variety
of litigated matters including
complex commercial, product
liability, professional liability,
and insurance defense. He has
extensive experience
representing large franchisors in
commercial disputes and trademark
litigation venued primarily in the
state and federal courts of New
Jersey and New York. Mr. Couch is
experienced in all aspects of
litigation, including
initial
case assessment; discovery drafting;
fact, expert and corporate designee
depositions; trial preparation;
motion practice; and trial and
appellate practice. Mr.
Couch has also counseled clients in
transactional matters arising from a
franchise or distribution
relationship.
Mr. Couch is a 2006 graduate from
the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy (IADC) at
Stanford University. He
is currently a member of the Defense
Research Institute’s (DRI) Young
Lawyers Steering Committee and a
member of the DRI Franchise and
Business Torts Special Litigation
Groups. He is also a member of the
US Law Business Litigation Practice
Group. He is actively involved with
the ABA Forum on Franchising and the
International Franchise Association
(IFA). He has twice served as a
roundtable moderator at the IFA’s
Annual Legal Symposium.
In law school, Mr. Couch was the
Notes and Comments Editor of the
Seton Hall University Journal of
Sport Law. He served as an
intern to the Hon. Peter Boggia,
Superior Court of New Jersey, Law
Division; and the Hon. Gerald Escala,
Superior Court of New Jersey,
Chancery Division.
