Representative Experience

During his career with Connell Foley, Gregory E. Peterson has been involved in a wide array of litigation cases, including complex commercial, breach of contract, insurance defense, personal injury, products liability, construction and professional liability matters.  Mr. Peterson participates in all aspects of litigation, including initial case assessment; discovery drafting; fact, expert and corporate designee depositions; trial preparation; trial and appellate practice; and motion practice including temporary restraining orders and orders to show cause seeking equitable relief.

Bowe v. New Jersey Mfrs. Ins. Co., 367 N.J. Super. 128 (App. Div. 2004) Tried underlying case to conclusion and succeeded on appeal, setting a new standard for proximate cause analysis in no-fault claims.

Representative Experience

Defense of class action FDCPA claims arising out of residential mortgage foreclosures;

Representation of law firm and individually named attorneys in several actions regarding deceptive practices in residential and commercial real estate transactions;

Representation of insurer in complex coverage action concerning liability coverage for alleged material misrepresentation;

Defense of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death third party suits;
Successful defense of Board of Directors, at trial and through Petition for Certification to New Jersey Supreme Court, on shareholder duress claim;
Assisted with representation of project manager in both the defense and prosecution of affirmative claims regarding project delay at Atlantic City casino expansion;
Assisted with representation of electrical contractor in breach of contract action on school construction project.
