Karen Painter Randall joined Connell Foley in 1986 and became a partner in 1992. She currently focuses her practice on Business Litigation; Construction Law; Director & Officer Litigation; Insurance Law; Product Liability and Tort Law; and Professional Liability. Ms. Randall is a veteran trial attorney in both state and federal courts and serves as Chair of the firm’s Director & Officer Litigation practice group and Co-Chair of the Professional Liability Practice Group.

Ms. Randall has been tapped by the National and State Bar Association leadership numerous times. She was appointed her as Co-Chair of the Professional Liability, Director and Officer and Emerging Issues Committees over the last eight years. Ms. Randall is a leader in the New Jersey State Bar Association where she is Chair of the Insurance Benefits Committee.  As a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, she was appointed to the prestigious Judicial Performance Committee.  Randall serves on the DRI Professional Liability Steering Committee.

She has served as Chair of the Professional Liability Practice Group Leadership Committee at USLAW NETWORK for two years and helped promote new ways to market the practice group through the use of webinars, ebriefs and roadshows.  Randall presently serves on the USLAW Women’s Collection Group Steering Committee. 

The Supreme Court of New Jersey, Board of Trial Attorney Certification designated Ms. Randall as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney in 1992. She was re-certified in 1999 and 2006. In 2005, she was selected by New Jersey Law Journal as a Prominent Leader Among Women and Minority Attorneys in New Jersey. Ms. Randall was also selected for membership in NJ300, an exclusive professional network that provides the state’s top women executives with various cross-industry networking opportunities.

She has also been named as a New Jersey Super Lawyer for 2005, 2006 and 2008. Additionally,  Ms. Randall was named a Top 100 Super Lawyer in 2005 and 2006, and a Top 50 Female Super Lawyer in 2005 and 2006.

Ms. Randall has lectured and written extensively on professional liability and director and officer issues ranging from risk management to defense and coverage issues. During her 24 years of practice, Ms. Randall has demonstrated dedication to adhering to the highest standards of the legal profession and business community.
