Peter Pizzi to Speak at the
PLI Technology Law Conference

Peter J. Pizzi will be a featured speaker at the April
19-20, 2012, Information Technology Law Institute 2012:
Innovations in Apps, E-books, Cybersecurity, Mobile
Technology, Privacy and Social Media.
The Institute forum is designed for a wide range of
professionals including lawyers who specialize in technology
and IP lawyers, and those who need to be on the cutting edge
of legal changes in IT law, business professionals, and
computer professionals and information managers.

Pizzi’s session will cover topics that range from the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to the Computer
Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), search warrants and subpoenas in
cyberspace, workplace computer use policies, freedom of the
press and bloggers, and off-campus students’ rights to free
speech.
Pizzi, the managing
partner of Connell Foley's New York office, is a business
litigator whose deep experience on issues relating to
technology law brings him to be sought after as guest
lecturer for a wide range of organizations and regularly
consulted by news media for insight regarding
technology-related topics.
A Certified Civil Trial attorney, Pizzi focuses
his practice on business litigation, Internet and IP
litigation, internal investigations, and labor and
employment law. In addition to his position on the
Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s
Commercial and Federal Litigation Section, he co-chairs the
Section’s Internet and Litigation Committee. He formerly
served as Co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s
Internet and Computer Law Committee.
