M. Walsh Named to New Jersey State Bar Association’s
Judicial
and
Prosecutorial Appointments Committee

Liza M. Walsh, has
been appointed Essex County representative on the New Jersey
State Bar Association’s Judicial and Prosecutorial
Appointments Committee. Her appointment to a two-year term
was announced by Bar Association President Allen A. Etish.
“The Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee plays
an important and valuable role in ensuring that only the
most accomplished, qualified, and reliable candidates serve
as judges and prosecutors in New Jersey,” says Michael X.

to this committee, the Bar went to the best. Her reputation
as an experienced leader coupled with her keen insight and
knowledge of judicial practices make her the ideal person to
represent Essex County in this crucial capacity.”
At Connell Foley, Walsh’s areas of practice include business
litigation, intellectual property, business law, and
finance. She focuses on federal litigation and antitrust and
intellectual property litigation. In addition to her busy
practice, she serves as Chair of the firm’s Finance
Committee and a member of its Management and Executive
Committees. She was a member of the Hiring Committee for 15
years.

fierce advocate on her clients’ behalf. She represents some
of the country’s largest and most prestigious companies. As
Counsel and Special Master, she is involved in the
enforcement of the largest court-ordered environmental
clean-up in the country. She is also currently involved in
defending several actions brought as class actions on behalf
of health insurers, title insurance companies, toy
retailers, and pet food distribution companies.
She has been named to Best Lawyers in America for the
past four consecutive years in commercial litigation. She
was also cited as “One of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in
Business” by NJBIZ magazine. She is a fellow of the
American Bar Foundation, a trustee of the Federal Bar of the
State of New Jersey, and a member of the Finance Committee
of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.
