McAuley Selected for "Meet the Real Estate Lawyers"

 

Roseland, NJ, June 4, 2009 – Connell Foley Patrick ("Rick") McAuley was awarded for a second time the distinction of being recognized in Real Estate New Jersey's “Meet the Lawyers” in the upcoming May/June (2009) issue. The magazine accepted 100 nominations from real estate attorneys around the state, and selected prominent real estate practitioners to profile in the piece.

 

Mr. McAuley's selection was based largely on his reputation as a real estate law and land use attorney focusing on redevelopment. A partner in the firm’s Real Estate Law and Land Use section and Business Litigation section, during his thirty-year legal career, Mr. McAuley has developed a well respected practice providing counsel in a substantial range of issues concerning the acquisition and sale of properties, municipal land use law (including applications for zoning, planning and building permit approvals), creation of redevelopment areas, the use of eminent domain or condemnation, relocation assistance and environmental regulatory matters.  He has assisted in obtaining subdivision, site plan and related permits and approvals for projects of nearly every size and character, including retail and office spaces, hotels, a baseball stadium, an aquarium, housing projects and various others in counties throughout New Jersey.

 

Additionally, he has served as counsel to the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (“CRDA”) since 1995.  Mr. McAuley has overseen the use of eminent domain proceedings to acquire several hundred sites not only for infrastructure improvements but also for various types of commercial, industrial, residential and recreational facilities. He also has negotiated a variety of financing structures and drafted related instruments in connection with the development or redevelopment of the acquired properties.

 

In addition to his contributions to the real estate practice at Connell Foley, Mr. McAuley is also an important member of the firm's Business Litigation, Corporate Law and Transactions, and Environmental Law practice groups.
