Connell Foley Expands Involvement in USLAW Network

– Connell Foley has expanded its involvement in the USLAW
Network. John D. Cromie, Kevin R. Gardner, Jeffrey W.
Moryan and Karen Painter Randall participated as speakers,
panelists and session moderators at the recent Fall
2008 USLAW Network Membership Meeting and Client Conference
in Las Vegas, Nevada. Additionally, several Connell Foley
attorneys have been appointed or re-appointed to leadership
positions within the USLAW Network.
USLAW
Network is a national organization composed of
61 independent member firms
in 45 states with over 3,500 attorneys. Each firm in
the network undergoes a rigorous review process. The
commitment of member firms is to provide high quality legal

country.
John D. Cromie, a member of Connell Foley’s
Corporate Law and
Transactions and
Real Estate Law and Land
Use practice
groups (among others) was recently appointed Chair of
the Transactional Practice Group of the USLAW Network. He
moderated a “Hot Topic” Roundtable Discussion on Business
Litigation and Transactions at the membership meeting in Las
Vegas.
Kevin R. Gardner, a member of the firm’s
Alternative Dispute Resolution and
Business
Litigation practice groups (among others),
delivered a presentation on the use of mediation procedures
to resolve business disputes in a program entitled
“Effective Strategies for Conflict Solutions in the Retail
Marketplace.”
Jeffrey W. Moryan, a member of the firm’s
Mass Tort and Toxic Tort
Litigation and
Product Liability and
Tort Litigation practice groups (among
others), moderated a session on transportation entitled,
“Rolling Snake Eyes: Responding to a Catastrophic Loss –
Lessons Learned from the Aviation Industry.”
Karen P. Randall, a member of the firm’s Professional
Liability,
Business Litigation,
Construction Law
and
Directors and Officers
Litigation practice groups (among others), was
reappointed Chair of the USLAW Professional Liability
Leadership Committee. Ms. Randall moderated a Professional
Liability and Insurance/Bad Faith “Hot Topic” Roundtable
Discussion. She also was a panelist in the program,
“In-House Counsel and Insurance Claims’ Criteria for Outside
Counsel: A Safe Bet, Penny Ante or All In?” As part of her
duties as Chair of the USLAW Professional Liability
Leadership Committee, Ms. Randall conducted the practice
group’s strategic planning business meeting at the Fall
conference.
