Randall Appointed to DRI Professional Liability Steering
Committee

Karen Painter Randall, a partner with Connell Foley LLP,
was recently appointed to the Defense Research Institute (DRI)
Professional Liability Steering Committee.
The
Professional Liability Steering Committee concerns itself
with the defense of a wide variety of professionals,
including lawyers, accountants, corporate directors and
officers, insurance brokers and agents, real estate brokers
and agents, financial planners, educators and clergy. The
Committee’s goals are to provide opportunities for
networking and communications among defense attorneys and
insurance industry representatives in the professional
liability area, to produce publications and present
educational programs and to educate and inform members on
legal developments and practice issues.
Ms.
Randall, a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, serves as Chair
of Connell Foley’s Defense Division of the
Directors and Officers Litigation Practice Group. In
addition, she is Co-Chair of the
Professional Liability Practice Group. She has held
several leadership positions with the American Bar
Association (ABA) and New Jersey State Bar Association.
Randall has also been a frequent presenter at ABA
conferences on professional liability litigation and risk
management issues. Randall was elected Chair of USLAW
Network Inc.’s Professional Liability Practice Group in 2008
and 2009. In August, 2005, the New Jersey Law Journal
listed Ms. Randall as a prominent leader among women and
minority attorneys in the State of New Jersey.
