Matthew W. Bauer Contributes to DRI’s First Evidence Publication
Matthew W. Bauer led Connell Foley’s participation in the creation of DRI’s Compendium entitled, “Spoliation of Evidence: A Compendium of State and Federal Law.” Written in a question and answer format, the publication addresses the law of spoliation in civil actions in every state, as well as for the federal circuits.
With the ever-increasing reliance on electronic records, spoliation of evidence has acquired a new significance. For each jurisdiction, the authors discuss the elements that may give rise to a duty to preserve information and the applicable sanctions for spoliation of evidence.
