STATE BAR APPOINTS HEIDI WILLIS CURRIER TO "BEST" PRACTICES COMMITTEE

Connell Foley LLP partner, Heidi Willis Currier, has been appointed by New Jersey State Bar Association President Ann R. Bartlett, Esq., to serve on a committee to oversee the implementation of the standardization of "best" civil practices. The committee, which has yet to be named, is the product of the Supreme Court's directive that the court system in New Jersey should function the same regardless of which county a case is venued. To that end, a panel of Superior Court judges prepared a report titled "The Conference of Civil Trial Judges Recommendations on Standardization and Best Practices," which was issued in March 1999.

To achieve the standardization of practices around the State, the Supreme Court requested that the State Bar Association recommend three attorneys to serve on a committee along with three Civil Presiding Judges. Ms. Currier is one of the three attorneys chosen. The committee will also work with local attorneys from the various counties to monitor and implement the standardized or "best" practices.

Ms. Currier is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and the Chair Elect of the Civil Trial Bar Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
