NJDA Installs Officers and Directors for 2002- 2003 at 36th Annual Convention June 27-30, 2002 at The Sagamore, Bolton Landing, New York
Heidi Willis Currier, Esq. installed as new NJDA President for 2002-2003.
Bolton Landing, New York June 29, 2002: Heidi Willis Currier, Esq., a partner in the Roseland, NJ firm of Connell Foley, was installed as the President of the New Jersey Defense Association at its 36th Annual Convention held at The Sagamore from June 27 - 30, 2002. Ms. Currier is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney whose practice includes the preparation and trial of civil litigation cases in the areas of negligence, products liability, medical and legal malpractice, contracts, construction, subrogation recovery, fire loss, declaratory judgment proceedings and insurance law. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey State and Federal Courts, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Courts, United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. She received her B.A. from Smith College in 1983 and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in 1986. While at Rutgers School of Law, she was Dean’s List student, a finalist in Advanced Moot Court, received the Excellence in Brief Writing Award and served on the Stratton Advanced Moot Court Board. She served an internship with The Honorable John F. Gerry, United States District Court. Following law school, Ms. Currier was a judicial law clerk with The Honorable Sidney H. Reiss, J.S.C., Criminal Assignment Judge, Essex County, NJ. She has served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Defense Association for several years and as Secretary/Treasurer in 2000-2001 and President-Elect in 2001-2002. Ms. Currier is currently a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and has served in that position since 2001. She is also a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association and the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association
