PAUL T. FADER APPOINTED BY GOVERNOR McGREEVEY
AS CHIEF OF THE AUTHORITIES UNIT
Connell Foley LLP congratulates partner Paul T. Fader upon his appointment by New Jersey Governor James E. McGreevey as Chief of the Authorities Unit.
As Authorities Chief, Mr. Fader will be responsible for the Governor's relationships with more than 40 independent authorities, boards, and commissions. He will continue the Administration's work on important issues, such as consolidating the toll roads and will ensure coordination among all authorities to achieve better planning and infrastructure improvements.
"Paul Fader will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new post as Chief of the Authorities Unit," says Gov. McGreevey. "Using his legal and public service experience, Paul will bring a unique perspective to this position. I am confident that he will move forward many of this Administration's most important initiatives."
Mr. Fader says he is honored to be chosen by the Governor: "I am committed to public service, and I promise to work diligently to ensure that our authorities deliver the most effective, efficient services and programs they have to offer."
Mr. Fader, 43, is a partner at Connell Foley LLP. He has worked here for 14 years and specializes in construction and public contract law, civil litigation, commercial development, and land-use issues.
He is also serving his final months as Mayor of the Bergen County city of Englewood, a post he was elected to in 1997 and reelected to in 2000. Mr. Fader is also a member of Englewood's Planning Board and served on the city's Housing Authority Board.
Mr. Fader received a B.A. degree in political science from William Paterson College in 1983 and a J.D. degree from Rutgers University School of Law, in Newark, in 1988. From 1989 to 1997, he was an associate with Connell, Foley & Geiser, which predates Connell Foley LLP. He was also a law clerk for the Honorable Sylvia B. Pressler, P.J.A.D.
Mr. Fader is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Alliance for Action. He is also an associate member of the Associated General Contractors of New Jersey and the Building Contractors Association of New Jersey.
