Connell Foley Named to Pro-Bono Council for Lincoln Center

NEW YORK, NY, May 6, 2005 -- Connell Foley has been named to Lincoln Center Pro Bono Counsels' Council. The venerable fine arts and cultural center and major New York City icon formed the 15-member Council in order to secure legal assistance for several new initiatives launched this year. Among these are the $470 million redesign and revitalization of Lincoln Center's four-block campus of facilities, as well as expanding other Center programs, such as the Lincoln Center Institute's Aesthetic Education Program, a project in which Connell Foley has made important contributions.

"Our work is focused on reviewing and improving documentation for the growing Aesthetic Education Program, and should be extremely helpful in facilitating the goals of all parties to the process," says Peter Pizzi, partner and lead counsel of the Connell Foley Lincoln Center team. The team is also staffed by Noel D. Humphreys of the firm's Corporate group and Ryan A. McGonigle, an IP associate. He added that the unique and collaborative nature of the Council of legal advisors will make it an ideal blueprint for other non-profits, especially complex, multi-faceted institutions similar to Lincoln Center.
