Biography:
Clarence Smith, Jr. joins Connell Foley LLP after several years of service as Assistant Chief Counsel to the United States Department of Homeland Security. An authority on immigration law, Mr. Smith brings to Connell Foley extensive experience in exclusion, deportation, removal and rescission proceedings and in matters involving civil document fraud.

At Connell Foley, Mr. Smith leads an Immigration Law practice which is an important component of the firm's comprehensive Labor and Employment Law services. Mr. Smith is available to counsel employers regarding such matters as working visas, labor certifications, green card applications. In addition, Mr. Smith can assist employers in complying with the United States Department of Labor and Department of Homeland Security requirements regarding non-citizen employees.

Mr. Smith regularly serves as an arbitrator before the National Association of Securities Dealers.
