Heather Kumer, an associate in Connell Foley’s Real Estate and Land Use Group and a LEED-accredited professional in building design and construction, is a panelist at the 2018 New Jersey Planning Conference on January 26, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ. She will participate in a session titled "Jersey City Moves Towards Sustainability."
Heather joins fellow panelists Charles Heydt, Senior Planner at Dresdner Robin; Katherine Lawrence, Senior Environmental Planner at Jersey City Division of Planning; and Rosana Da Silva, Program Associate at Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program. They will discuss the roles that planners and policymakers play in determining policies that impact physical health of a community, as well as, decisions around land use, urban design, and transportation affect local air quality, water quality and supply, transportation safety, and access to physical activity, healthy food, and affordable housing.
