Overview
Adam Salzer is an associate in the Commercial Litigation, White-Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations, and Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Incident Response Groups.
Prior to entering private practice, Adam served as an assistant prosecutor in both the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office (HCPO) and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office (ECPO). Adam was most recently the Assistant Chief of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs and Narcotics Unit, where he served as lead prosecutor on complex investigations including the use of Communication Data Warrants, search warrants, and wiretap authorizations, as well as providing a direct point of coordination among the HCPO and state and federal law enforcement agencies in complex narcotics, firearms trafficking, gang and homicide investigations. While with the HCPO and ECPO, Adam prosecuted and tried cases involving homicides, robberies, narcotics distribution, burglaries, complex thefts, and illegal firearms.
In the Special Remand Court and Megan’s Law Unit of the ECPO, Adam prosecuted disorderly persons’ offenses and classified convicted sexual offenders. He also prosecuted over 500 indictable cases in the county’s Adult Trial Section, including non-fatal shootings, car-jackings, robberies, street-level narcotics distribution, burglaries, receiving stolen property, thefts, and homicides. Adam has tried several jury and bench trials to verdict in Hudson and Essex Counties, resulting in convictions for various criminal offenses.
Adam received his J.D. in 2010 from New York Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University in 2007.
