Luisa Hernandez Juarez is an associate with Connell Foley. Her practice focuses on insurance defense, premises liability, construction, and product liability and tort law matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Luisa was Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department. In that role, Luisa defended tort claims against the City, including those arising out of the operation of emergency vehicles, trips and falls, premises liability, nuisance, property damage, and other injuries occurring from governmental functions.
Luisa received her J.D. in 2018 from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was the president of Latin American Law Students Association. While in law school, she also worked as a student caseworker with the School’s Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic (Black Lung) where she argued a black lung benefits claim before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and as a student attorney with the School’s Immigrant Rights Clinic. Luisa graduated magna cum laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science.
