Overview
Timothy Brown is an associate in Connell Foley’s Insurance Defense Group. A former assistant prosecutor in Essex County, Tim is an experienced trial attorney who has handled both insurance defense and complex commercial litigation matters. He has conducted extensive plea negotiations, including complex multi-defendant matters and first-degree offenses, and also has experience in arbitrations, mediations settlement conferences and oral arguments.
Prior to joining the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Tim served as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert J. Mega, P.J.Cr., Superior Court of New Jersey.
Tim received his J.D. cum laude in 2014 from Seton Hall University School of Law where he earned a Chancellor’s Scholarship and was the Comments Editor for the Seton Hall Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. Before beginning law school, Tim served as a teacher for two years with Teach for America.
