Overview

Yvette Brown is an associate in Connell Foley’s Healthcare Law Group where she defends clients in a wide range of matters. Her experience includes handling complex medical malpractice, complex skilled nursing, assisted living, home care and hospice cases. Prior to entering private practice, Yvette worked for several years as an SIU investigator for a major health insurance company, identifying and helping to recover millions of dollars in fraudulent billings.

During law school, Yvette was a judicial intern for the Honorable Alberto Rivas, New Jersey Middlesex County Superior Court (New Brunswick). She interned at Widener University Delaware Law Veterans Clinic, helping disabled veterans appeal denials of their benefits. Yvette also interned at a global provider of medical technologies, where she drafted contracts and reviewed merger and acquisition documents.

Yvette received her J.D. cum laude in 2020 from Widener University Delaware Law School, where she was a staff editor for the Widener Law Review and served as Vice-President of the Food and Drug Law Association for two academic years. She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University in 2006 and an M.S. in Criminal Justice in 2011.
