Jared J. Lacertosa

Overview

Jared Lacertosa is a litigation associate at Connell Foley where he focuses on construction, premises liability, product liability and tort law, and insurance defense.  

Jared joins the firm after serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, Trial Bureau. In this role, Jared handled all aspects of misdemeanor and felony criminal case litigation. He presented dozens of cases to grand juries, and served as first and second chair in several jury and bench trials. Prior to this, Jared was a New York State Excelsior Fellow with the New York State Liquor Authority, Office of Counsel. He previously held internships with Katona & Mir LLP, the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, New York City Housing Authority, New York State Office of Home and Community Renewal, and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, as well as an externship with U.S. Magistrate Kathleen Tomlinson, E.D.N.Y. 

Jared received his. J.D. in 2015 from Brooklyn Law School, where he was the Executive Articles Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He received his B.A. cum laude in 2010 from American University, where he was a member of the Pi Alpha Sigma Political Honor Society.
