Overview
Katharina focuses her practice on corporate restructurings, bankruptcy, and other insolvency-related matters. She regularly represents debtors, official committees, investors, plan administrators, asset purchasers, and other stakeholders across various industries in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings.
Katharina brings a wealth of experience from private practice, where she developed a strong foundation in handling complex insolvency cases. As a native of Berlin, Germany, she frequently counsels German and other international clients on U.S. legal matters, leveraging her multilingual proficiency in English and German.
Katharina holds the INSOL Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law, through which she studied insolvency and bankruptcy regimes in jurisdictions such as Germany, England and Wales, Singapore, and Canada. Her judicial experience includes clerkships with Judges Mary F. Walrath and Kevin Gross in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, where she gained invaluable insight into the judicial process.
