Overview
Svetlana V. Siforova is an associate in Connell Foley’s Commercial Litigation, Insurance Defense, Product Liability and Tort Law, and Construction Groups. She has comprehensive motion practice experience in litigation matters, including negligence, breach of contract, general commercial litigation, labor law, automotive litigation, medical malpractice and workers’ compensation. Svetlana also has handled commercial arbitrations and mediations, particularly in New York and Florida.
During law school, Svetlana interned at the New York County Supreme Court Divorce Mediation Clinic, where she conducted mediations, and drafted settlement agreements, separation agreements and amendments. She also interned at a New York law firm where she assisted in mediations and arbitrations in real estate, family, intellectual property, employment, and trusts and estates law
Svetlana received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as Divorce Mediation Clinic Ambassador, student contributor to the New York Real Estate Law Reporter, and Legal Writing and Oral Arguments judge. She earned her B.A. in English Literature and Russian Language Literature from Fordham University and is fluent in Russian.
