On the heels of its busiest year to date, Connell Foley’s Corporate Group has been named 2023 Dealmaker of the Year. Senior editors of that publication and Law.com cull through hundreds of submissions and conduct research to ensure the awards honor the best in the profession and highlight the most significant transactions. Ensuring it falls into that esteemed category, Connell Foley’s Corporate Group provided indispensable counsel to companies in the midst of all stages of the corporate life cycle, from entity formation and financing to mergers and acquisition transactions, restructuring, and dissolution. Despite turbulence in the business world, the group experienced growth by adding three new attorneys, bringing the group to 25. Upon hearing the news, John Cromie, Chair of the Corporate Practice Group, expressed, “This is great news and builds on the success and growing reputation that we have worked hard to achieve.”
Connell Foley partner Tom Forrester has been named a “New Leader of the Bar” by the New Jersey Law Journal, a designation awarded to up-and-coming New Jersey lawyers “who bring both notable achievements and outstanding potential to the table.”
A member of the firm’s commercial litigation, professional liability, and world-class environmental law practices, Tom handles a wide array of complex commercial matters involving trade secrets and commercial disputes, professional liability defense of hospitals and medical providers, and some of the most significant environmental cases in New Jersey. Tom devises efficient and practical solutions for his clients and has established himself as a leader in the environmental law space.
Tom is equally dedicated to his clients and the community. As a board member of the non-profit volunteer organization Rebuilding Together Jersey City, Tom is instrumental in organizing and coordinating Connell Foley’s participation in the annual rebuilding day to rehabilitate homes and community spaces in Jersey City.
The Corporate Group, Tom, and other honorees will be recognized at the New Jersey Legal Awards 2023 Gala on September 13th at Park Chateau Estate in East Brunswick, NJ.
