Overview
Mark J. Marsella brings extensive investigative, litigation and government experience to his practice at Connell Foley. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an investigative attorney for the New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller, where he led complex investigations into fraud, waste and abuse across all levels of state government. In this role, Mark conducted witness interviews, issued subpoenas and authored comprehensive public reports on his findings.
Previously, Mark served as a law clerk to the Honorable Georgette Castner in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, where he managed a heavy docket of civil and criminal cases including consumer protection, patent infringement, tort and contract cases. Mark earned his J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers Law School and holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Journalism and Professional Writing with a Minor in Classics from The College of New Jersey.
Mark's legal career is distinguished by his military service as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps Judge Advocate Division, where he served in multiple capacities including Victims' Legal Counsel, Military Government Trial Counsel, and Special Assistant United States Attorney.
