Karen Painter Randall, Chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group, teams up with Daniel Sutherland, Chief Counsel with the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)/Homeland Security, to present "Current Issues in the Ever-Changing Landscape of Cybersecurity for Law Firms" at the 2020 USLAW NETWORK Managing Partner and Law Firm Leaders Forum.

CISA is responsible for protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure from physical and cyber threats. This mission requires effective coordination and collaboration among a broad spectrum of government and private sector organizations.

Karen, who also chairs USLAW's Data Privacy & Security Practice Group, and Mr. Sutherland will cover vital cybersecurity topics, including the ransomware crisis and its impact on business continuity, client service and firm stability. They will also discuss what firms are doing with infrastructure and personnel to mitigate risk, the scope of digital threats, and how best to support clients in cyber-related incidents.

USLAW NETWORK is an international organization composed of more than 60 independent, full-practice firms with roots in civil litigation, including more than 6,000 attorneys across the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Asia, and with affiliations in Africa and Europe. The USLAW Managing Partner and Law Firm Leaders Forum annually brings together law firm leadership to discuss important business topics relevant to running and managing a law firm.
