Karen Painter Randall, Chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group, is a co-panelist for the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA)/New Jersey State Bar Foundation (NJSBF) webinar "Sexting, Cyberbullying & Their Dangerous Consequences." The program, based on the novel “The Ice Queen” by Felicia Farber, will be held on April 22, 2021.

Moderated by NJSBA President and certified criminal trial attorney Kimberly Yonta, the presentation will include an interview of Felicia Farber, author of “The Ice Queen,” a young adult novel that examines issues of sexting, cyberbullying and the legal vulnerability of teens. Ms. Yonta will then lead a round table discussion in which Karen, who is the founder and Chair of the NJSBA's Cybersecurity Legal Task Force, will be joined by co-panelists Dr. Stuart Green, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Director of NJ Coalition For Bullying Awareness; and Michael F. Kaelber, Esq., Coordinator for Online Course Development, LEGAL ONE, NJPSA FEA. The panel will explore the legal issues surrounding when teenagers inadvertently run afoul of child pornography laws by texting, posting or emailing pictures of themselves or their friends.
