John Cromie, chair of Connell Foley's Corporate and Business Law practice and a member of the firm's Real Estate practice and Executive Committee, was named chair of USLAW NETWORK, Inc. for 2017-2018. The announcement was made at the NETWORK’s annual member meeting in Carlsbad, California.

John has served on the USLAW Board of Directors for several years and on the Executive Committee (EC) since 2014. He has been emerging industries director and most recently served as vice chair of USLAW and client liaison director on the EC. He is a past chair of USLAW's Commercial Law Practice Group and is a member of the Banking & Financial Services Practice Group.
At Connell Foley, John represents Fortune 100 public companies as well as privately owned mid‑cap enterprises and startup ventures on a wide range of real estate and financing transactions. He is well-versed in the area of mergers and acquisitions, as well as in the purchase, sale, leasing and development of commercial real estate. John also has significant experience representing lenders and documenting asset-based and real estate-based commercial loans and credit facilities.
John often serves as outside general counsel to his clients, working with closely held businesses in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, specialty chemical and health care.
