Connell Foley LLP congratulates our friend and partner Richard J. Badolato on receiving the New Jersey State Bar Foundation 2013 Medal of Honor

On June 20, 2013, Connell Foley Partner, Richard J. Badolato received the New Jersey State Bar Foundation 2013 Medal of Honor.  

Since 1988 up to two Medal of Honor Awards have been given annually to lawyers and law-related professionals as well as elected officials, educators and other laypeople who best exemplify either or both of the following criteria: (1) has made a significant contribution to the advancement or improvement of the justice system or the betterment of the legal profession in New Jersey; (2) has attained professional excellence as demonstrated by accomplishments in the law or service to the profession and the community during his or her law career.

During his 47 years of practice, Richard Badolato, a senior partner at Connell Foley, has developed an expertise in civil trial litigation. His experience on the trial levels and appellate levels in both State and Federal Courts has included: medical, legal, and dental malpractice; products liability; all forms of general liability, construction, and automobile litigation; insurance coverage and policy interpretation; subrogation recovery, fire and theft losses; and declaratory judgment proceedings.

Mr. Badolato is a certified trial lawyer, has been A.V. rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 1977 and has been selected for New Jersey Super Lawyers from 2005 to the present as a civil defense trial lawyer.

Mr. Badolato served as President of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation from 2009 to 2011 and as President of the New Jersey State Bar Association from 2002-2003. He is the former Chair of the Supreme Court of New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law and is past Chair of JPAC. Mr. Badolato currently serves on Governor Chris Christie's Advisory Committee for Judicial Appointments, is Chairman of the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics, and is a member of the Supreme Court Professional Responsibility Rule Committee, "E" Filing Committee and the Advisory Committee for Mandatory CLE.
