ROSELAND, N.J./December 21, 2007 -- Richard J. Badolato was recently presented with the John B. LaVecchia Award by the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

John LaVecchia personally presented the award bearing his name to Mr. Badolato at a reception held at the Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. The recognition honored Mr. Badolato's service to the Northern New Jersey Chapter, and his personal efforts to elevate the quality of trial advocacy and the image of the bar through his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the right to trial by jury.

The ABOTA's primary objective is the preservation of the constitutional vision of equal justice for all Americans through the civil jury trial.

Mr. Badolato was particularly touched by this recognition because of his personal relationship with John LaVecchia. "It is so special for me to have been John's partner at Connell Foley and to have him here to personally present me with this award that was instituted to honor his own good works in advancing [ABOTA's] objectives."

Mr. Badolato is a member of the Insurance Defense and Product Liability and Tort Law practice groups at Connell Foley.
