December 9, 2013, Connell Foley Partner, Kevin R. Gardner received the 2013 Distinguished Service Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association and New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) for this contributions to continuing legal education.  

Since 1997, Mr. Gardner has regularly volunteered to present continuing legal education programs to NJICLE. In that time, he has been the sole or primary speaker for over 50 NJICLE programs throughout New Jersey for lawyers on a variety of subjects concerning civil practice in the Federal and State Courts of New Jersey.  Mr. Gardner has also been a frequent speaker in legal education programs in New Jersey and around the country for other organizations, including the American Bar Association, National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Defense Research Institute, Rutgers Institute for Professional Education, The Attorney General's Advocacy Program and USLAW.

In addition, for 26 years Mr. Gardner has served as an adjunct professor of Seton Hall University Law School and Rutgers University Law School, teaching courses in civil practice, litigation strategy and crisis management. 

Mr. Gardner has been with Connell Foley since 1980. His practice focuses on complex commercial, environmental and product liability litigation, class actions and mass tort litigation and crisis management.
