Anthony Vitiello Speaks at ENGAGE 24 Conference

Anthony F. Vitiello, Chair of Connell Foley LLP’s Tax & Estate Planning Group, will deliver two presentations at the ENGAGE 24 conference hosted on June 3 – 6, 2024, by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) & the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). The event will take place in Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort & Casino and will be webcast live.

Tony’s first presentation, titled “Planning for a Surviving Spouse,” will take place on June 3 from 11:45 PM – 12:35 PM PDT. During this session he will, among other things:

  • Compare sophisticated estate and gift tax planning techniques for the surviving spouse.
  • Identify dilemmas and pitfalls in estate and gift tax planning for the surviving spouse.
  • Analyze trust designs for the surviving spouse.

The level for the “Planning for a Surviving Spouse” session is considered “intermediate”; attendees should have at least three years of professional practice under their belts and will earn 1.0 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit for their participation.

Tony’s second presentation, titled “Are You Prepared to Prepare the Complex Gift Tax Return?” will take place on June 5 from 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM PDT. During this session he will, among other things:

  • Identify the fundamental elements, as well as the nuances, of preparing a complex gift tax return.
  • Evaluate tips and observations in handling a gift tax return audit.

The level for “Are You Prepared to Prepare the Complex Gift Tax Return?” session is considered “advanced”; attendees should have at least four years of professional practice under their belts and will earn 1.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for their participation.
