Karen Painter Randall, Chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group, is presenting at the New Jersey State Bar Association's 2020 Annual Meeting - "A Virtual Symposium Uniting the Legal Community."

Karen and her co-panelists will present "Security and Privacy Basics and Beyond." Co-sponsored by the NJSBA's Cybersecurity Task Force, of which Karen is the Founder and Co-Chair, this program will cover the core strategies lawyers and law firms need to effectively protect themselves by implementing a simple yet powerful cybersecurity plan while working from home. Their “cybersecurity playbook” will cover ways to protect the firm, key issues to be aware of, common ways that organizations and individuals are exploited, and more.

Joining Karen in the discussion are Robert Spangler, PhD., Associate Executive Director, Operations and IT, New Jersey State Bar Association (moderator); Renata Lowenbraun, Vice President of Legal - Privacy & Product, CIPP/US, OTCP, Payfone; and Sajeed Naseem, Chief Information Security Officer, Administrative Office of the Courts, Trenton.

This session will take place on Wednesday, May 13, from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits may be available for New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

For the first time ever, the NJSBA's Annual Meeting and Convention will be presented as a virtual symposium.
