Karen Painter Randall, Chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Incident Response Group, leads an esteemed panel to provide a "Cybersecurity Forecast for 2021: The Good, Bad and Ugly in Healthcare."

Hosted by the New York Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS), this program will explore the threat landscape for the healthcare sector in 2021, including the rapid evolution of ransomware and COVID-19-related attacks. The panelists will also discuss the impact of cyberattacks on resources and lives, how to respond to ransom demands, best ways to defend against these threats, and the new and incentivizing laws for HIPAA compliance.

Joining Karen in this presentation are Jason Vitale, Associate Director of Cyber Investigations at Kivu Consulting; Tom Scott, CEO/Founder of New Century Solutions LLC (NCS) and leader of the NCS Cyber Division; and Kelly Geary, National Practice Leader – Executive and Cyber Risk at EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants.
