Karen Painter Randall, chair of Connell Foley’s Cyber Security and Data Privacy Group, is presenting at Kean University for their Internet of Things program on June 8, 2017. Karen will be speaking on “Billions of Ways the IoT Poses Risk to the Enterprise. ” Many Internet of Things (IoT) devices seem harmless to your IT systems or to those people that tend to them…from HVAC systems to elevators and even the newly connected car in the parking lot. At first glance, these IoT devices don't seem to be a threat to your sensitive data but they could very well be the newest means of exfiltrating data. Karen’s program aims to help organizations understand the IoT risks they face and why they are inevitable, and learn strategies to prepare for this new world of security challenges.
