Connell Foley Welcomes Sean Kennedy as Government Affairs Advisor

Connell Foley LLP announces that Sean Kennedy*, has joined as Government Affairs Advisor in the Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Group’s ability. He has extensive experience developing policies, leading campaigns, building relationships statewide, and business development, facilitating connections between the public and private sectors. This addition underscores Connell Foley’s dedication to providing comprehensive and forward-looking client services, as well as solutions for business and policy matters.

Kennedy brings decades of expertise in public service, business leadership, and community engagement. Sean’s impressive background includes roles as VP of Government Affairs and External Partnerships at Rowan University and Director Government and External Relations at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. He previously worked as Associate Executive Director overseeing communications for the NJ Senate Majority Office and has experience leading business development efforts for renowned civil engineering firms in New Jersey.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Rowan University and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School. Kennedy holds leadership positions on the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey, as Chairman of the Rowan College of Burlington County Board of Trustees, and as President of the Burlington County Board of Taxation.

Connell Foley’s Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Group comprises of members that have served on gubernatorial transition teams for both political parties, as well as directly in governors’ and legislative offices. They provide counsel on regulatory and corporate compliance, help develop compliance programs for businesses in regulated industries, and represent clients before government agencies and boards.
