Connell Foley partner William Deveau was selected by NJBIZ to this year's "Forty Under 40" listing of New Jersey's top young business leaders. This annual award is bestowed upon those "up-and-coming stars of the New Jersey business community [who] have achieved professional excellence at a young age, representing the future of their industries and the state as a whole."
With a focus on commercial litigation and insurance coverage law, Will is an accomplished and versatile lawyer who primarily counsels insurers on complex coverage issues, including bad faith, commercial and excess liability, construction defect, professional liability, directors and officers liability, nanotechnology, environmental claims and cyber claims. He joined Connell Foley in 2005 after serving as a law clerk for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Environmental & Natural Resources Division in Washington, D.C. and was elevated to equity partner in 2013.
This year, for the first time, NJBIZ selected only five winners in each of eight categories: accounting, banking, entrepreneur, health care, law, marketing, real estate and technology. Will and the other honorees will be recognized at an awards program to be held Monday, September 11 at iPlay America in Freehold.
