ROSELAND, N.J./January 20, 2012 -- Connell Foley is sponsoring the ABA’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee’s annual Insurance Coverage meeting and CLE Seminar on March 1-3, 2012, in Tucson, Arizona at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Neil V. Mody, an insurance partner in the firm, will co-host a round table luncheon discussion of catastrophic loss cases at the meeting on Friday, March 2, 2012.

Members of the firm have long been active in the American Bar Association in various leadership positions and through membership activities, particularly in its Litigation Section. Name partner Adrian M. Foley, Jr. served as chair of the Litigation Section and on the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association, as well as in numerous other positions of prominence in the Association. Senior partner George J. Kenny is the original founding chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee (ICLC), which has grown significantly since its start in 1988 and is now one of the largest and most active committees in the Litigation Section; he has been lauded by the Committee for his contributions to the organization.

“That the Committee continues to play a significant role in keeping legal professionals informed and educated about their profession and the law is a testament to the character of the leaders who commit their energies to these types of activities,” stated Kenny. “I am proud that my efforts continue to present significant legal value to others.”

The ICLC comprises attorneys from major national law firms who engage in insurance coverage litigation on behalf of policy holders and insurers. The ICLC annual meeting and educational program traditionally draws more than 200 coverage attorneys from across the country.

Kenny, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers is a member of several of the firm’s practice groups and engages in a broad spectrum of civil litigation. He is a member of the adjunct faculty of Rutgers University School of Law in Newark and for more than 20 years has taught civil litigation there. Kenny, who has written and lectured extensively on litigation practice and insurance coverage law, is a member of the editorial board of the New Jersey Law Journal, co-author of the standard insurance text, New Jersey Insurance Law, co-author of the Damages chapter in Law and Practice of Insurance Coverage Litigation, published by West Group and founder of the Lexis/Nexis publication Coverage.
