ROSELAND, N.J./October 20, 2011 -- On September 22, 2011, the Interscholastic Moot Court Board office was named after Connell Foley’s Jodi Hudson, Director of Seton Hall University Law School’s Moot Court Board.

Hudson, a Certified Civil Trial Attorney with Connell Foley, represented the Interscholastic Moot Court Board while a student and competed in the National Moot Court Competition, finishing third in the nation. She was also awarded Second Best Oralist honors in the Northeast Region at the Regional Round of the National Competition. After graduation, Hudson maintained her ties to the Moot Court Board and, since 2000, she has served as its Director.

The Board is currently ranked sixth in the U.S. by lawschooladvocacy.com. For each of the past six years, the Board has taken home an average of 25 awards. This past year, the Board was honored with a Regional Championship at the NAAC Competition and a First Place finish at BMI’s Entertainment Law Competition.

“Seton Hall University School of Law is recognized as a preeminent educational institution in my field, so the recognition by my peers is even more meaningful,” stated Hudson.

The Moot Board was also selected for the third consecutive year to participate in the National Moot Court Invitational in January 2012 at the Advocacy Institute in Houston with the top 16 programs in the country.

Hudson served as an assistant district attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office (1997-2000) before joining Connell Foley’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance Defense practice groups in 2000. She has tried more than 40 cases involving civil litigation and insurance coverage and defense. She is a leader in Seton Hall Law’s School’s Alumni Council and served as its President from 2008 to 2009.
