Michael A. Shadiack Presents “HR 101 – A Primer for Managing Human Resources” at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association Seminar

ROSELAND, N.J./March 15, 2007 -- Michael A. Shadiack, a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law practice group, was a featured presenter at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s “HR 101–A Primer for Managing Human Resources” seminar conducted on March 9, 2007.

The seminar focused on empowering human resource professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to make appropriate personnel decisions and to avoid costly and time-consuming litigation. Advice was provided on formulating effective and practical company policies, and effectively managing employees, in compliance with federal and state employment laws.

Mr. Shadiack discussed workplace retaliation and techniques for avoiding workplace retaliation claims, trends in litigation, and documentation of employee performance and discipline. Over two hundred human resource professionals attended the seminar.
