Michael Shadiack Provides Guidance on the Importance of Drafting and Updating an Employee Handbooks at NJBIA Seminar

ROSELAND, N.J./September 29, 2011 -- Connell Foley partner Michael A. Shadiack was a featured presenter at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) “How to Prepare Employee Handbooks & Policies and Handle the Explosion of Social Media at Your Workplace," held on September 23, 2011 at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, West Orange, New Jersey.

The seminar focused on empowering human resource professionals and management representatives with the knowledge and tools to formulate and implement a practical and effective employee handbook, and effectively manage employees, in compliance with federal and state employment laws. Shadiack discussed the numerous ways that a clearly-worded and well-organized employee handbook will benefit an organization, and provided practical advice for drafting and updating an employee handbook.

Shadiack is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law practice group, who practices exclusively in the areas of labor and employment law on behalf of management in the private and public sectors, in addition he represents non-profit organizations and institutions of higher education.
