Michael Shadiack to Present Hiring Best Practices

Michael Shadiack, co-chair of Connell Foley's Labor & Employment Law Group, will present "Legal Considerations and Compliance Best Practices when Hiring New Employees" on October 15.  The presentation, hosted by the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, will address such hiring topics as:

  • Advertising the position and recruiting
  • Employment applications
  • Applicant interviews -- What questions can and cannot be asked
  • Background Checks -- Including the use of social media and the recently enacted New Jersey Opportunity to Compete Act
  • Offers of employment

This program has been approved for 1 HR General recertification credit hour toward California, GPHR, HRBP, HRMP, PHR and SPHR recertification.
