Significant Amendments to New Jersey Environmental Regulations Anticipated This Year

A number of new rules, repeals and amendments to several New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulations are anticipated to take effect sometime later this year. If these changes are adopted as previously proposed, they will significantly impact the ability of developers to obtain necessary permits to begin construction; the requirements for owners, operators and others responsible for remediating sites; and the very process for environmental due diligence throughout the state.
