Overview

Eric L. Maxton concentrates his practice on commercial litigation and complex casualty litigation. Eric brings valuable litigation experience to Connell Foley. Prior to joining the firm, Eric served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office where he successfully prosecuted felony cases through all phases of criminal proceedings, from initial investigation through sentencing. In this role, he also provided critical legal guidance to law enforcement agencies, including charging recommendations and search warrant review.

Eric earned his J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers Law School. Following graduation, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Callahan, J.S.C., in the Criminal Division of Essex County Superior Court, where he gained valuable judicial perspective by drafting opinions and legal memoranda, conducting comprehensive legal research and managing motion practice.
