Overview
Erik Dettloff practices in Connell Foley LLP’s Commercial Litigation, Franchise & Distribution, and Product Liability and Tort Law Groups. He serves as co-counsel in all facets of complex litigation matters, from discovery and motion practice through trial preparation. He is also a pro bono attorney with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), representing minors in immigration proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Erik was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Peter G. Geiger, Bergen County Superior Court – Civil Division (Hackensack). He was previously a Connell Foley summer law clerk, analyzing case law for several practice areas. He also interned at the State of New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, where he conducted research and assisted in policymaking for high-stress police situations.
Erik received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board. He graduated with a B.A. in Law and Policy from Dickinson College, where he played four years of varsity football.
