Overview

Danielle Ciniello defends clients against allegations of criminal charges in State and Municipal Courts. She has represented clients from diverse backgrounds on matters ranging from municipal court offenses and domestic violence restraining order hearings, to more serious charges including drug distribution, robbery, aggravated assault, sexual assault, and murder. Danielle prioritizes a client-focused approach, ensuring that each individual is supported by both an advocate and a collaborator throughout the legal process.

Previously, Danielle served as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender with the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, Bergen Trial Region, in Hackensack, New Jersey. In this role, she managed a comprehensive post-indictment caseload, which involved reviewing discovery materials, conducting legal research, drafting briefs, developing direct and cross-examination strategies, and importantly, maintaining effective client communication. In addition to her extensive preparation, Danielle spent most of her time appearing for various Court proceedings, including motions and jury trials. Proficient in conversational Spanish, Danielle additionally contributes by assisting clients in understanding the legal process, ensuring they are fully informed throughout their representation.

During her studies at Rutgers University School of Law, Danielle completed internships with both the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender as well as the Miami-Dade Office of the Public Defender; the latter as an Eric R. Neisser Public Interest Fellow.
