Erica Gbur practices in the areas of insurance defense, Labor Law and construction litigation, premises liability and general negligence. Prior to joining Connell Foley, she clerked for the Honorable Annette Scoca of the New Jersey Superior Court – Essex Civil Division.
While in law school, Erica was a clinic member for the Intellectual Property Law Clinic in Bloomington, Indiana, where she advised clients in the trademark and patent application process and represented clients in litigation before the TTAB and federal district courts. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Lisa D. Sirkin at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in New York, and for the Honorable Pamela K. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Erica received her J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2021, where she was Order of the Barristers, received the Pro Bono Service Award, and was active in moot court competitions and pro bono projects. Erica also was a certified legal intern for Indiana University Student Legal Services, providing case management services and trial representation, conducting direct and cross-examination closing argument. She earned a B.A. magna cum laude with honors in 2018 from The Ohio State University.
