CLE Program: Social Media Ramifications in the Workplace

On Tuesday, January 30th, Connell Foley partner Michael Shadiack, will be presenting a CLE program titled, "Social Media Ramifications in the Workplace." The 90-minute seminar will highlight legal pitfalls relative to the use of social media by employers and their employees.  Through the use of practical examples and recommended guidelines, we will explore best practices for the use of social media in the workplace, including when conducting background checks, hiring best practices, protecting confidential business information, respect in the workplace, avoiding workplace harassment, ensuring compliance with employees’ rights to engage in protected concerted activity, and more.

The program will start at 5:30 PM in conference rooms 1D & 1E. There will be light refreshments served beginning at 5:15 PM.

Upon arriving at Connell Foley, please park in Lot A "Visitor Parking." When entering the building, take the staircase on your right to the second floor. Turn left and walk down the hallway towards the Courtyard. At the end of the corridor, turn right and the training room will be in front of you at the end of the hallway.
