Karen Painter Randall, Chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Incident Response Group, will moderate “How to Prepare for an Attack on Your Law Firm and Clients’ Business” at the 2022 NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention on May 19.

Law firms remain the prime target for cyber criminals. With ransomware attacks continuing to wreak havoc on the professional services sector and businesses across all industries, lawyers need to understand cyber risk and best practices to protect their clients’ assets, data and firm. Karen will co-present with keynote speaker Steven Kaufman (Acting Chief Counsel at Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), Christopher Ballod (Managing Director, Cyber Risk at Kroll), Monique Ferraro (Cyber Counsel at Hartford Steam Boiler), Kelly Geary (Managing Principal, National Practice Leader-Executive and Cyber Risk at EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants), and Pritesh Patel (Senior Director at Coveware) on identifying cyber risks in the legal industry and strategies to help protect against and respond effectively to a ransomware attack.

The NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention, a three-day educational program taking place May 18-20, will cover a wide range of issues in practice areas and include bench-bar conferences. CLE credit for New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania will be provided.
