Connell Foley LLP partner Karen Painter Randall recently presented "Ransomware: You Don't Always Have to Pay" for the USLAW Network "Short Takes" video series. Karen also serves as Chair of USLAW's Data Privacy and Security Practice Group.

Ransomware attacks are one of the most intractable — and common — threats facing organizations across all industries, professions and geographies. The sophistication of ransomware attacks continues to evolve rapidly. Unfortunately, the outlook for 2022 is not much better. Enterprise security and management must constantly re-assess cyber risk and adjust incident response and business continuity plans.
