Steve Barnett, a partner in Connell Foley’s Environmental Law Group, will moderate a webinar panel discussion on “Forever Chemicals in California” at the California Lawyers Association on July 7.

Of the more than 9,000 known PFAS compounds, 600 are currently used in countless products for their stain and water repellant properties, including firefighting foam, cookware, cosmetics, carpet treatments, clothes, and even dental floss. Federal and California regulators and consultants will discuss technical, legal and regulatory aspects of PFAS, also called "forever chemicals."

Joining Steve for the discussion will be speakers Lisa Campe (Woodard & Curran), Vince Cogliano (California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA)), Matt Klasen (United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA)), Wendy Linck (California State Water Resources Control Board) and Luis Navarro (Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.).
